WALK ON - THE ROSA PARKS STORY
In February 2016, the fifth grade visited SUNY- Purchase to see a production of "Walk On- the Rosa Parks Story".
The small cast wove together music and drama to tell the story of Rosa Parks, and her decision to “sit down and be counted.”
An inspirational story about the struggle for equality, it fit in well with the fifth grade Jackie Robinson Engage NY unit in ELA.
