YMCA THEATRE
The Foundation is pleased to support the drama and musical productions at Washington Irving.
Every year, thanks to the YTheatre program and additional grants from St. Faith's House Foundation and Kids Club of Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow, local theatre legend Peter Royston directs the fourth and fifth graders in both a drama and a musical.
Over the past few years we have enjoyed the children's interpretation of Shakespeare in a magical performance of The Tempest (with six Ariels and three Calibans), explored Irish culture and traditions in "Journey to the World's Edge" and traveled back in time to meet medieval knights in The Magic Tree House: The Knight at Dawn.
