JAZZ FEST
Now in its 14th year, the Sleepy Hollow Jazz Festival has become a Westchester institution. By bringing together local high school jazz musicians and top-notch jazz educators, the festival allows students the chance to receive professional feedback and an unforgettable musical experience.
In 2016 , through a generous grant from the Getler family and the hard work of Music Director Micah Sprague, the festival was able to join with Purchase College's Conservatory of Music to bring the festival to new heights. During the day, the students participated in a hands-on clinic for their bands, and then dinner at Purchase College was followed by a jam session with Purchase students and a great concert at Pepsico Theater featuring the top four bands.
Unfortunately, the 2017 Jazz Festival was cancelled due to snow.
A special thank you to Richard Getler for these amazing photographs of the concert at Pepsico Theater.
