Support our community and expose your business
to thousands of district families.

Dear Friends of TUFSD,

We are thrilled and honored to invite you to support the Foundation for the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns 2026 Spring Benefit. As a sponsor of one of the largest community events of the year, your business and contribution will have a direct impact on the lives of the 2,500 students in our district.

The annual tradition of celebrating our cause continues with The Foundation’s “The Horseman’s Derby” on Saturday, May 2nd at Hudson Loft in Irvington. This year, the evening will feature a cocktail style event with a fabulous assortment of exciting silent auction items, delicious food and drinks, a live DJ, a photo booth, and much more.
The Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3), was established in 1993 to encourage and enhance academics, athletics, technology and the arts for all students in our schools. We finance larger, district-wide programs aimed at inspiring and engaging ALL of our students in the categories of Wellness, STEAM, Early Childhood Literacy, Arts & Culture, and College Readiness. In addition, funds raised are distributed as educational enhancement grants for innovative programs. We are committed to enriching learning experiences so that every student can excel.

Over the last thirty years, the Foundation has had the privilege of investing millions of dollars into our schools. Our work continues to be diverse, funding family literacy programs for our youngest learners, commissioning an Ecuadorian folk song for the high school orchestra that reflects our students’ heritage, and bringing history to life through a partnership with the New York Historical Society for the middle school. In addition, we fund college visits for first generation students and through the dual enrollment program we have removed financial barriers for low income students to earn college credit during high school. Our work is made possible entirely by the support of parents and families, community members, local businesses and charitable organizations who share our goal of enriching children’s lives and preparing all district students for success.

Your generosity today will make a material and lasting difference in our schools and the lives of our students for years to come. Lend your support, and let us showcase your business to the community as a special thank you! Enclosed you will find a page outlining all of our tax-deductible giving opportunities. In addition to our sponsorship levels, we’re again offering the opportunity to underwrite individual aspects of the evening with corresponding creative promotions leading up to and showcased at the gala to our 300+ guests including items like sponsoring the broadcasting of the Kentucky Derby race and sponsoring the cocktail hour with dedicated signage throughout the space.

Sponsorships are critical to our event’s fundraising goal. We hope you will participate in this important annual benefit, and we are extremely grateful for your consideration. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions at [email protected]. And if you have an idea for working with us that isn’t represented here, please reach out! We’re always open to finding new ways to include our partners in our events. We look forward to welcoming you to The Derby on May 2nd and thanking you in person for all that you do for our community.

Sincerely,

Nicole Novy Schneider, Executive Director
Diana Colton & Juliette Lys Shulman, Spring Benefit Co-Chairs
