Dear Friends of TUFSD,
We are thrilled and honored to invite you to support the Foundation for the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns 2026 Spring Benefit. As a sponsor of one of the largest community events of the year, your business will positively affect the lives of the 2,500 students and their families in our twinvillages.
The annual tradition of celebrating our cause continues with TheFoundation’s “The Horseman’s Derby” on Saturday, May 2nd at Hudson Loft in Irvington. This year, the evening will feature a cocktail style event with a fabulous assortment of exciting silent auction items, delicious food and drinks, a live DJ, a photo booth, and much more. Over the last thirty years, the Foundation has had the privilege of investing millions of dollars into our schools. Our work continues to be diverse, funding family literacy programs for our youngest learners, commissioning an Ecuadorian folk song for the high school orchestra that reflects our students’ heritage, and bringing history to life through a partnership with the New York Historical Society for the middle school. In addition, we fund college visits for first generation students and through the dual enrollment program we have removed financial barriers for low income students to earn college credit during high school. Our work is made possible entirely by the support of parents and families, community members, local businesses and charitable organizations who share our goal of enriching children’s lives and preparing all district students for success.
The Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3), was established in 1993 to encourage and enhance academics, athletics, technology and the arts for all students in our schools. Funds raised go to financing larger, district-wide programs aimed at inspiring and engaging ALL of our students in the categories of Wellness, STEAM, Early Childhood Literacy, Arts & Culture, and College Readiness in addition to being distributed as grants to teachers for innovative programs. We are committed to enriching learning experiences so that every student can excel.
The silent auction component of our benefit drives our fundraising success. We rely on donations from families and businesses like yours, and our 300+ party-goers look forward to bidding on the wonderful items you donate.
As an auction donor, you will receive: • Visibility in advance of the event through the Bloomerang bidding platform, which we will use to preview our offerings and promote through e-blasts and social media campaigns. • Company logo placement and direct link to your website from Bloomerang and the Foundation website (for gifts valued over $250) • Exposure to over 2,500 families and friends who are part of our community through promotional emails and social media posts leading up to the event • Tax deduction for the estimated value of your donation(s). The Foundation for the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our tax ID# is 13-3749969.
Please see the attached donation form, or visit this link for an online version. If you would like to be an auction donor, we ask that you return your form by Thursday, March 19th.

*In an effort to maintain a curated silent auction selection, we may not be able to feature every donation at the 2026 Spring Benefit. However, we are always extraordinarily grateful for your generosity and can certainly make use of all donated items at our other popular events which we host throughout the year. In the case that your item will not be featured at the 2026 Spring Benefit silent auction, we will be in touch to discuss how you prefer to proceed. Thank you for your understanding!
