BLACK VIOLIN
In October 2016, the Foundation funded a wonderful performing arts experience for the fifth grade, when they went to SUNY Purchase to see Black Violin. This duo mixes hip hop and classical sensibilities, and according to team leader Will Jacobs, "students were encouraged to participate in the audience by dancing, singing, clapping, cheering". Not only was this the first time many of the students had been to a professional theatre production, but they enjoyed an "amazing, exciting, and unique musical experience"
