LIZZIE ROCKWELL
Lizzie Rockwell is an author and illustrator of over twenty five children's books. In the fall of 2015, she visited W.L. Morse school and enthralled 2nd graders by explaining how she creates her children's books. Ms. Rockwell explained how she researches her book ideas, creates thumbnail sketches, creates a book "dummy,"does line drawings of her subjects and then begins the painting process. Students were inspired by her interactive presentations, which she ended by making a drawing on an easel.
